In the ancient valley of the Gauja River, surrounded by pine forests and rivers, lies Gaujmale – a place for peace, presence and true relaxation. Only 35 km from the center of Riga, but in terms of feelings – much further from the everyday hustle and bustle.

Gaujmale was created as a family place – with love, care and respect for nature. Every corner was created deliberately, preserving the natural beauty of the surroundings and the feeling that here you can simply be. Be in silence. Be together. Be closer to yourself.

We believe in the healing power of nature, bathhouse traditions, live fire, the flow of the river and places where a person can stop and renew themselves. That is why Gaujmale is not just an accommodation or a bathhouse – it is a space for experience, feelings and real respite.

Here you can enjoy a peaceful rest in the bathhouse, evenings by the fire, mornings with fog over the Gauja River. We have been sharing our home and welcoming guests to the bathhouse for several years.

The bathhouse has everything you need for a romantic and peaceful rest for two or for family and friends up to eight people.

We have recently opened the doors to the Sanctuary / Retreat House, which we have created and built ourselves over the years. The mission to create the Sanctuary was formed from the life journey of the owner Andas, experiencing how significant the impact and changes in life can be on inner work with oneself and how important the Place is in these intimate processes. Feeling your strengths and the direction of creative inspiration, with the desire to give the best to yourself and others. Realizing that the best thing I can give to the World at this stage of my life is to create this house.

At the top of the hill, on the banks of the Gauja, a purposefully built Sanctuary surrounded by nature. A special, spacious, sacred-shaped classroom. A cozy living space with a view of the Gauja, where you can eat, relax and live. Beautiful surroundings for being in nature and walking.
